8/23 ShootBoxing - "Hiroko"s Opponent Announced

Hiroko is one of the attractions on this ShootBoxing card. The main feature will of course be the tournament, even though the exhibition fight between Megumi Fuji and Hisae Watanabe would be enough to fill the Shinagawa Stellar Ball (Sutera Booru) in the Shinagawa Prince Hotel complex.

Today another of the main attractions had her opponent announced. The very tall (for Japanese) "Hiroko" will take on Cho Benkei under ShootBoxing rules, and I think that should complete the card just a few days out from the event.

8/23 ShootBoxing - Hisae Watanabe taking on Megumi Fuji!

Hisae Watanabe is the former DEEP female champion, and when she retired I thought it was way too early.

Now she might be back! Anyway for 1 fight... She will be taking on Megumi Fuji in a exhibition fight fought under EX-Mixed rules. That means round 1 is Jewels rules, round 2 Shootboxing. There will be 2x2min rounds.

I hope this means we will see more of her!

8/23 ShootBoxing - Girls S-Cup 2009

ShootBoxing are putting on a female version of their very popular S-Cup, and it should be a interesting event. Personally I think the favorites here are Rena and Misato Tomita, but I dont know too much about the ShootBoxing skills of the other participants.

Also on the card is up and coming Jewels favorite Shizuka Sugiyama and one of the biggest female MMA stars anywhere, Megumi Fuji.
