10/30 Shooto Vale Tudo Japan 09 - First fight announced

It was clear from the announcement of this event that it would be BIG, they have announced the first fight and a couple of participants now and there is no doubt that it will be a sold out JCB Hall for this.

Former Shooto champion, Alexandre Franca Nogueira will take on current Shooto champion, "Lion" Takeshi.

Also announced as participants are Takanori Gomi and Rumina Sato. Gomi has stated that he intends to fight overseas after this, and he would like to take on a foreign fighter.

There will be a few changes to the rules and other things here, for one, they will not use the normal "Shooto gloves". They will use a new type of ISC glove (open finger).

Soccer kicks will not be allowed, but knees on the ground and stomps are allowed.

Fights will be eighter 3 or 5 rounds, of 5 minutes.
