5/30 War Gods 5 - Results

I reported earlier that Steve Magdaleno would make his return in this event, fighting Kit Cope. That was before all the controversy, and I can only say what I have heard, so it might not be 100% true. Before the weigh-in there was a rumor that the event was called off. Kit Cope and his team-mate, Lucas Gamaza, deceided to rehydrate and when the rumor turned out to be true they could not make weight and pulled out.

This left Steve and the organisers in a bad position, 1 day to go and no opponent. Luckily, Carlos Garces stepped up to face Steve Magdaleno on very short notice. Steve also came in on short notice here, in place of injured Andy Wang. He ended up taking his 6th straight win, and I hope it opens some more doors for him.
