10/25 DREAM 12 - James Thompson Added - Filho out!
Friday, 23 October 2009
FEG have today announced the opponent for Alistair Overeem for the this Sundays event in Osaka. James Thompson have been rumored to take the fight, and that has now been confirmed.
Both these fighters are popular with the Japanese crowd, and I think it will be an entertaining fight.
This card has had some setbacks and are missing a few of the fighters that were announced to participate. FEG have had to face some critizism for that, but I think and hope this card delivers.
The card should now be complete, with 9 fights.
Because this card is so close to Sengoku 11, I have added a servey, which card do you think is better? (on the right)
***UPDATE***
Paulo Filho is off the card, no announcement has been made official as to who is replacing him, but the rumor is that it will be Tarec Saffiedine.

Seems like all the possible shit is always striking the DREAM cards.
I agree, but dont know if it is their fault all the time...
Some times shit just happen...
Nah, I don't think that's their fault at all (other than those few times they make not too, how to say it, bright decisions though it's also in most cases related to some TBS dickheads) but I just can't stop thinking that if some shitty situations happen to japanese mma orgs in most cases it's DREAM.
WOW I can't recall a fight with higher odds in sometime then the Overeem -1800 VS. Thompson +900 fight. That would be something if the
"The Colossus" could shock the workld tommrow night ? And whats up with Filho now ? His Manager Ed Soares says its nothing to worry about but with his past actions and history of drug abuse how can one think its not something real bad ? All in all a hell of a great night for MMA tommrow night UFC first then Dream. lokking foward to seeing the White cage !
