Fedor to fight in Japan on NYE? - Latest Developments

Sherdog has today an article confirming that Fedor will fight in Japan on NYE. The article does not name any promotor. However, the opponent is Hong Man Choi.

I have been reluctant to post much around these rumors for several reasons:

-Choi is fighting in the K-1 GP finals Dec. 8. If he is KO’ed there, any fight on NYE is off.
-All the speculation would not be good for Choi leading up to the K-1 GP, it would also interfere with his preparation for any MMA event on NYE. As well as, of course taking his attention away from the GP tournament.
-K-1 has an Osaka event the same day, Choi is a K-1 fighter... Any new promotion would have to pay a lot to put on this fight.

This would of course be a fight that would draw a crowd, but you would need more than one fight, if it were to be hosted by a new promotion. My guess would be that it will either take place in Osaka, or a part of a Hustle pro-wrestling card.
