12/31 Yarennoka - Main Event is....

According to Gryphon It is announced, and it is Misaki vs. Akiyama. This is VERY surprising to me. I would have expected the Fedor fight would be the main event, as Fedor is without a doubt the most expensive fighter on the card. But I guess that means they are realising that it takes more than one great fighter to make a main event.

Gryphon also raises some interesting questions in this article:

-Will this be a one-off event? Will it be a way in to the Japanese market for M-1? In that case, they are much smarter about it than UFC was.
-What will fighters like Aoki, Ishida and Kawajiri do after this event? Who will they sign with?
