2/22 DEEP Impact 34

DEEP has announced their Middleweight tournement for next year. This is a tournament to determine the new middleweight champion after Ryo Chonan handed his title back earlier this week. It will be held February 22 in Korakuen Hall.

6 fighters are confirmed so far, another 2 will be announced later. Amoung them, former DEEP champion Ryuta Sakurai, Pride veteran with a very average record Daijiro Matsui and former King of Pancrase Yuichi Nakanishi.

Confirmed fighters are:
-Ryuta Sakurai (15-13-4)
-Yuichi Nakanishi (6-7-3)
-Riki Fukuda (8-3-0)
-Daijiro Matsui (9-18-4)
-Eiji Ishikawa (14-14-2)
-Yuya Shirai (9-5-0)

For now, my money is on Killer Bee`s Fukuda. He has showed a lot of promise, and I think he is a best fighter in this field.
