3/15 DREAM - Adds Fight?

Thursday 6 March 2008

Hayato "Mach" Sakurai has put on his blog that he it due to fight Hidetaka Monma in the DREAM light weight tournament. Monma got the the semi-final of the Cage Force welterweight tournament last year, where he lost to Dan Hardy. This would be a good fight, but can't really see Monma winning this.

The post on Sakurai's blog seems to be taken down.

Not sure if this will be a lightweight tournament fight, Monma is normally a welterweight. It looks as though this will be a 77kg fight.

Hayato "Mach" Sakurai 31-7-2 vs. 14-7-3 Hidetaka Monma
Andre "Dida" Amade 6-2-1 vs. 12-1-0 Eddie Alvarez

Tatsuya Kawajiri 20-4-2 vs. 9-6-0 Kultar “Black Mamba” Gil
Kazuyuki Miyata 5-6-0 vs. 11-3-0 Luiz Firmino "Buscape"
Koutetsu Boku 13-4-1 vs. 16-6-1 Joachim Hansen

Also Participating:

I can't see Monma making anywhere near 70kg

Yeah, was thinking the same...

But in the gryphon glog
mention somenthing about 77 kg
maybe this fight is not in the tournament and is a welter fight?

Borre 6 March 2008 at 15:53

You're right... DOnt know if he is saying it the best weight, or the weight they will fight at. Seems strange to me if this is part of DREAM 1, since they have the welterweight tournament in DREAM 2...

But DREAM 2 is gonna be a Middleweight Tournament

With fighters like
Melvin Manhoef
Yoshihiro Akiyama
Zelc Galesic

Tney make a welterweight division too.

Yep, that'll teach me to double check :)

I don't think Melendez will be fighting either. He will be fighting at the Strikeforce show later this week.

Looks like he doesn't want to avenge his loss to Ishida..hehe.

No the fight of Melendez was cancel
this same week .

is was replace for Nick Diaz :)

There are posibilities to see Gilbert in the GP.
