A shocking developement in front of the Neo-Blood Tournement Finals. The main event is cancelled! There is no other expaination given in his e-mail than, he is retiring for personal reasons...

Pancrase have tried to find a replacement, but been unable to in the short time.

That's pretty weird that he would just retire right before his title fight. I hope Yuki Kondo is in the MW Grand Prix.

Yeah, I think the timing is strange...

Have a feeling Yuki would be in the GP, but have to see how his fight on Wednesday goes.

From what I am hearing Shoji, along with Michi Asano and his brother have all "retired" from MMA due to "police pressure" resulting from the marijuana expose involving Kid Yamamoto. This could potential sink his new Krazy Bee gym.

This aftermath is actually a big story that no one has really picked up on. Shoji left Krazy Bee due to the story coming out but his immediate retirement short before the title fight was due to police pressure.
