9/23 DREAM 6 - RESULTS

Tuesday 23 September 2008

I just came back from the event. I assume most of you know the results now, but here they are anyway.

In addition to the results, it was confirmed today that Joachim Hansen will fight on NYE against an opponent yet to be named. Also fighting is Fedor (I think that was confirmed, at least I feel like it....).

It was a very good event, some upsets. However, I have to say that the always underestimated Mousasi now HAS to be in the top 3! He really proved himself today! I would like to congratulate him, he really deserved the victory today!

i disagree with your assessment of mousasi. to me, it seems like he has the luckiest guard in the world. denis kang fell right into it, and got caught. same for manhoef (though much less so). and this lucky upkick seals the deal.

i'm not saying mousasi isn't talented, but it seems like his victories all come from a string of poor decisions made by his opponents more than his actual talent. and i don't like that.

I agree Mousasi has to be 3rt place in the rankings, he have only 22 years old. He have a long way to go and a plenty of oponents to fight.

No body thinks he is gonna win the tournament.

He defeats Manhoef, Kang, Yoon and Jacare lucky or not lucky he won, and wins are wins in Japan or USA.

I Like to see a:

Mousasi vs Akiyama in the future, or for New Years Eve (NYE)

I forget to ask:

They gonna have a DREAM.7 before NYE?
I was Hearing is gonna be in Korea

is that Truth?

You have to be good to be that lucky. He has beaten top opponents. Top 3 might be a bit high, but he should be on the top half of a top 10 list IMO.

There was no word on a DREAM 7... It seems like the next DREAM is NYE.

Crocop says something diferent about DREAM.7:

"I'm angry it ended this way, it seemed as if he was the dominant one, however i wasn't in trouble for a second and was waiting for my opportunities. I prepared very well because i thought the match could last a while. I thought i would knock him down in the end"

His manager Zvonimir Lučić confirmed that he wanted to continue the fight however the ringside officials prevented it as a precaution.

His manager stated that the injury is not a serious one. He doesn't know when the rematch will take place however Mirko's team want one as soon as possible.

It is thought that Dream could host an event in Korea, before the NYE event.

if you have to be that good to be that lucky, then what was houston alexander? what about sokoudjou?

Unknown 25 September 2008 at 02:27

Houston and Sokojou are very aggressive and have great striking skills. It's just that there ground game is rather poor. I wouldn't call them lucky.

Mousasi Lucky, come on¡¡¡¡¡
I dont think so¡¡¡¡¡

Only this Year he beats to:

Evangelista Ciborg Santos
Steve Messing
Denis Kang
Yoon Dong Sik
Melvin Manhoef
Ronaldo Jacare Souza

I think he is gonna be fighter of the years, and maybe he fights Akiyama this same Year¡¡¡¡¡
