9/28 Sengoku - Roger Gracie's Replacement Announced

Friday 26 September 2008

Sengoku revealed today that "King Mo" will take on Travis Wiuff, King Mo takes the fight on short notice after Ju Jitsu star Roger Gracie pulls out from a controversial rib injury.

As for who King Mo is... I dont know too much, but here is what I have found out researching the net. He is a very accomplishe free style wrestler, training with Team Quest.

Ryo Chonan has a post on his blog about King Mo, but it is more on a personal level. Chonan says he a rapper with a lot of tatoos and a Cadillac. They are friends and Chonan was able to stay at his place. About King Mo's ability, Chonan is saying that he is a very talented wrestler and his goal is qualifying fo the olympics (post is from April).

Even though the card has lost one of the big stars, I think this should be a very interesting event. The middleweight GP will be interesting, even though it doesnt have the stars we might be used to from the Pride days.

Main event is of course Xande Riberio making his long awaited MMA debut.
