What Happened to the DREAM Sponsors??
Thursday, 29 January 2009
Gryphon talkeds about this subject in his last post, and it is something I have been wondering too...
Last year Olympia and Heiwa (Pachinko machine makers, I believe) sponsored all the events. Hence the events were called:
-Heiwa DREAM 1
-Olympia DREAM 2
-Heiwa DREAM 3
-Olympia DREAM 4
-Heiwa DREAM 5
-Olympia DREAM 6
DREAM 7 is only called that... Has DREAM lost their major sponsor, who also used to sponsor HERO's??

That doesn't sound good for DREAM. :( It seems so strange they are having so many problems when they have had such exciting events. I haven't heard anything about WVR/Sengoku having problems like this. I wonder why.
What I see and hear is that the Sengoku sponsors realize that it takes time to build a brand, and they are willing and able to cover those costs. That is the current state though, I guess that could change.
Just to add to that point, I am not sure what has happened at DREAM with the sponsors. But this is the first DREAM event that is not called either "Heiwa" or "Olympia".
I guess we just wait and hope for the best.
COuld it just be they are still negotiating or even have another big name sponsor that is interested?
Seems kind of late to be negotiating, I guess they can still change banners and names etc. I hope they are though.
