Shooto Ranking - February

Shooto have released their rankings for February and following Tradition 5 and Shooting Disco 7, there are some changes and new additions.

I am very happy that they have included Jesse Taitano in the bantamweight division, he is a fighter I really hope they bring back.

Flyweight:
Champion: Open

1. → Ramba “M-16” Somdet
2. → Shinya Murofushi
3. → Shinpei Tahara
4. → Takehiro Harusaki
5. → Atsushi Takeuchi
6. ↑ Hiroaki Yoshioka

Hiroaki Yoshioka comes in... No idea why.

Bantamweight:
Champion: → Shinichi “BJ” Kojima
-From October 14 2006, Defended 3 times against Mamoru, Akagi and Urushitani

1. → Yuki Shoujou
2. ↑ Ryuichi Miki
3. ↓ Yasuhiro Urushitani
4. → Junji Ikoma
5. → Mamoru Yamaguchi
6. → Jucie Formiga
7. → Masatoshi Abe
8. → Shimokawa Yusei
9. ↑ Jesse Taitano
10. ↓ Yasuhiro Akagi

Jesse Taitano comes into the ranking after his draw with Shinichi Kojima at Tradition 5.

Ryuichi Miki moves up one spot after winning his main-event fight at Shooting Disco 7 against Homare Kuboyama, who drops out of the ranking.


Featherweight:
Champion: → Masakatsu Ueda
-From March 28 2008, Defended 1 Time against Galvao

4. → Koetsu Okazaki
5. → So Tazawa
6. → Atsushi Yamamoto
7. → Hiromasa Ogikubo

10. ↓ Tetsu Suzuki

Junya Kudo moves into the rankings after his win in Shooto Tradition 5, this comes at the expense of Takeya Mizugaki who is fighting in Cage Force these days.


Lightweight:

6. ↑ Hiroshi "Iron" Nakamura

Hiroshi Nakamura moves up into 6th place after defeating Hayate Usui at Shooto Tradition 5.


Welterweight:
Champion: → Takashi Nakakura
-From May 3 2008 Defended 0 times)

3. → Ganjo Tensuku
4. → Bendy Casimir
5. → Hamid Corassani

Koutetsu Boku comes in at #10 after fighting in Tradition 5. He drew his fight with Yusuke Endo. Out of the ranking goes Eiji Mitsuoka, who is a Sengoku fighter now.


Middleweight:

Akihiro Yamazaki comes into the ranking after a strong performance at Shooto Tradition 5, out of the ranking goes Scott Henze.
